I was wondering if anyone knows how to clean those foam mattress toppers? I use a mattress protector over it but was wondering if I should attempt to wash it. Do you think it will fall apart in the washing machine?

Take articals out of the magazines that you want then put in file for 1 month. When you have enough in the box drop them at a business office you go to that have no new reading material.

I find it easier to keep a tote bag just for library trips. I have one book shelf dedicated to library books and as I finish the books I put them into the tote bag. I do have several books off the shelf at once, but I never have to do a big hunt through my bedroom to find books to return.

I think it is a wonderful idea to give magazines to the hospital. However, there is a downfall for people like me. I found that my housekeeping problems stemmed from the fact that I have adult ADD. I used to be unable to just toss the magazines thinking of it as "uncaring" and wastefull. Inevitably, they would end up in a pile to be cleaned the next go around or scattered all over the floor of the car two months later. I finally realize that for me, I have to just discard immediately. I still have a moment's hesitation every time but now I have a much cleaner house. Sometimes if a friend is cleaning with me, I give them to her or she will take them to the hospital for me.
Thanks for letting me share,
Nancy

You can also donate magazines to local hospitals, community health clinics, etc. They are usually very welcoming of magazines. Especially men's magazines.

Don't just toss old magazines, donate them to your local school(s) for their many art, social studies, science, etc. projects that need cut-and-paste pictures. Be sure to remove your address labels or you might find yourself on an artwork!

One thing you may want to add to the list is vacuuming your mattresses. I know it sounds silly, but it really helps with dust mites, pet dander, etc. My husband's and son's alergies have improved quite a bit just through doing this once a week. Also, the Fabreeze Alergen Reducer spray seems to work well.
