i have a major problem w/ trying to keep my apartment clean! im a stay-at-home-mom w/ 3 kids, 8 year old, 2 year old, and 6 month old, in a tiny 2-bedroom apartment! id like to register to my messy house! i could really use some tips! my husband says im a potential hoarder! please help! also..my 6 month old is trying her hardest to crawl! so, i really need to get a move-on! lol..thanks!!

The general clutter is not what has me whipped. I am showered with the paper blizzard. I have 12 file boxes full of papers that I want to weed out but the ones that have me whipped are what I have thrown into a box for years and they have piled pretty high; plus more come pouring in every day.
I can’t catch up. Some subjects fit into two or more subjects. I have a one paragraph,one of a kind, subject that I want to find when wanted, but don’t know what to do with just one.

How do you file, I forgot what I used to do, or else the requirements have changed.

I am whipped!!!

Is this site still active? I love what I’ve seen so far. Right now I’m sitting in a house that I;m ashamed of. I find Flylady annoying. Can I join the forums? It will not let me register.

this is so scary!!
i am 22 and have grown up in a family of hoarders… where normal means having boxes of junk lining the edges of the couch and having extension cords and car parts in the dining room-
and now i have my own place that is just as bad or worse (even though i promised myself it wouldnt be) as my parents’ house. reading all of this stuff is scary because it is so right on with everything im used to. i can barely take a step now in my house because of all the half-filled boxes, which are there partly because i was trying to be cautious when unpacking (a year ago) and partly because i think somehow thats better than the stuff directly on the floor. but boxes are sliding all over each other and i have spiders galore…
my main question is that my house has no rooms- its a small cottage with one main living space. i have a giant drafting table and flat files, and that leaves very little space for dashing and stashing– everythings out in the open. any advice?

Does anyone have the Weekly duties for the bedroom? I looked on the site, but couldn’t find it.
I have been to this site off and on for years now. I come back to this site everytime my house gets really bad. My family and I are messies except for one of my kids she is a cleanie. I know she get frustrated having messies all around her. So for her sake I am going to make an effort to make it cleaner around here.

I am so excited to find this website and to find out there are others who are messy like me. I don’t have hobbies because I always feel so guilty about all the housework that needs to be done! I have taken classes on time management and once did the Sidetracked Home Executives routine, but that didn’t stick either. I work at home now and I thought I would have more time, but it seems now like I have less! I can’t wait to start using all the tips and see how I do. Pray for me! Also, is there a list about doing a Room each day? I thought I saw that in the comments but didn’t know where to look for it.
